The Descendants

George Clooney stars in The Descendants, a film based on the novel by Kaui Hart Hemmings, and tells the story of a man who finds himself in a desperate situation when his wife is in a coma after an accident and has to take care of his two daughters.

Matt King, the character played by Clooney, faces the decision to sell or not the land it owns in Hawaii, while he discovers that his wife has been unfaithful and wants to find the man with whom his wife has been linked. The events that take place in the family do to change the relationship with their daughters, while reviewing his past and examine what will be their future.

The film weaves dramatic moments with touches of comedy directed by Alexander Payne (Sidewalks), allowing Clooney to show one of his best characters on screen, in his role as father and husband emotionally vulnerable, which may take you to be considered for an Oscar. In his excellent performance is closely supported by a cast composed of Shailene Woodley, Amara Miller, Nick Krause, Patricia Hastie and Judy Greer, but above all, the script for a universal story of great human value.
