Kurt Budke coach and assistant coach Miranda Serna in the women's basketball team from Oklahoma State University were killed when their single-engine plane that crashed in central Arkansas.

Both died in the crash Thursday night near Perryville, about 72 kilometers (45 miles) west of Little Rock, near Winona Area Wildlife Management. The place is in a rugged region in the east of the Ouachita Mountains, but did not mention the cause of the accident.

Both officials were traveling to recruit players.

Lynn Lunsford, spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration said the aircraft was a single-engine Piper PA-28.

In January 2001, ten men enrolled in the men's basketball team from the university were killed in a plane crash in Colorado.

The University of Oklahoma said the pilot and another passenger were also killed in the crash on Thursday. Their names were not released, although it was clarified that there were connected with the university.

"There were no survivors," the school said in a statement.
