TeleNav

TeleNav
The company just announced that TeleNav will soon introduce a new GPS-guided navigation service that can be used in any mobile application and web sites. The innovative navigation solution would be based on HTML5 and include features turn by turn voice guided.

TeleNav offer free shipping for any mobile application or mobile web site, only adding a simple line of code, the maps will be embedded in third party supplanting the need for other services like Google Maps or Bing maps. This service is free for everyone, even if you have a subscription to the company, which is really surprising.

Sal Dhanani, co-founder and vice president of products TeleNav said:

This is a great value to any mobile phone, web sites and applications based on location and with a focus on travel, shopping, local search, offers and more

With a single line of code, you can give your customers one-click access to voice-guided directions turn by turn up anywhere, including hotels, restaurants, shops or places of operation. Customers never need to leave your application.

TeleNav expects to launch its service publicly HTML5 early 2012. Consumers will not have to be current customers of TeleNav, but must have a phone with support for HTML5, although developers can now start testing the service from today to go to design applications that support by visiting www.telenav.com / developer/HTML5.

No doubt great news for everyone, since it implies the arrival of a new generation of GPS navigation with turn by turn, leaving obsolete so far we have seen with Google Maps service that is used by thousands of third-party applications so far. Surely the search company will react to this new service and implement similar functionality to its popular mapping service.
