San Francisco 49ers 20-3 wins by Pittsburgh Steelers game on Monday night, held at Candlestick Park, which suffered two blackouts.

With the Steelers defeat, the New England Patriots (11-3) placed as the number one seed in the AFC.

For its part, the quarterback of San Francisco, Alex Smith, got a touchdown, completed 18 of 31 passes and managed 187 yards.

David Akers put the 49ers ahead with two field goals after Vernon Davis and Frank Gore scored in the third and fourth quarters, respectively, while for Steelers kicker Shaun Suisham managed only three points for his team.

The game started and then delayed again in the second quarter interrupted by power outages at the stadium Candlestick Park.

The electricity was cut into the stadium about 25 minutes before the start, the stadium speakers stopped working and supporters remained in the dark until an emergency light went on in a corner of the stadium.

A 49ers spokesman said he had apparently failed transformers located outside the stadium.

City staff worked to restore the energy supply and the light began to return about 15 minutes after the blackout, sparking a standing ovation from supporters of both teams.

However, when the locals won 6-0 with 12:13 minutes left in the second quarter, the electricity failed again and the match was interrupted for 15 minutes.
