Steelers

Steelers
The power San Francisco 49ers again been shown to give another exhibition of team play both defense and attack for the win by 20-3 at Pittsburgh Steelers game on Monday night the League National Football (NFL).

The victory closed the fifteenth week of the NFL with the 49ers converted surprise in a solid team that is 11-3 mark, the title of the Western Division of the National Conference (NFC) and presented as a great candidate for fight Super Bowl with Green Bay Packers.

The 49ers return to primetime games on television on Monday could not be more interesting and "suspense" after twice the power went to Candlestick Park, San Francisco, who left the field without light .

But once electricity was restored, the 49ers game was always higher than the Steelers had no response to overcome an opponent that beat them in defense and attack, besides having a kicker record as it was lefty David Akers.

The 49ers defense with rookie linebacker figure that dropped twice and assisted on the third quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, injured his left ankle, was a nightmare for the star player of the Steelers.

Then the attack came the figure of tight end Vernon Davis who scored a one yard pass that sent the 49ers quarterback Alex Smith, after he himself had made an advance of 21 after another perfect pass he caught.

Running back Frank Gore was also present in the ground attack to get the 49ers scoring with 5-yard carry.

Akers was responsible for getting two field goals of 22 and 38 yards, respectively, to break the record individual score in a single season that was held by the legendary Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice.

Kicker 37, who has always been a big fan of Rice, surpassed the 138 points achieved Rice with annotations in the season of 1987 when he was quarterback to another legendary as Steve Young.

Akers said he did not deserve to break the record of a legendary and Rice scoring because they did it very differently.

Smith returned to do his job as a quarterback who combined good ground and air attack by completing 18 of 31 passes for 187 yards, made a shipment of annotation, not intercepted any ball and left the index 86.4 passer.

While Roethlisberger, who was doubt until minutes before the game, could not conceal the condition of the left ankle sprain and although it had the best protection with the mobility secondary line was not the best.

Roethlisberger completed 25 of 44 passes for 330 yards with no touchdown shipping and intercepted three balls, leaving the index at 52.3 pin.

The defeat prevented the Steelers (10-4) have been alone in first place in the classification of the North Division of the American Conference (AFC) and have claimed to be seeded number one in the finals.
