The winner of the thirteenth heated Dancing With the Stars, JR Martinez confessed to People magazine he and his girlfriend, Diana Gonzalez-Jones are expecting their first son, born in 2012.
"We learned last week, is a girl and we're on the moon," said Martinez, adding that the holiday gifts that are to come "this is the biggest and best gift we could get."
As explained to the magazine, the veteran of the Iraq war, and son of the Salvadoran Maria Felix Zavala, he and Gonzalez-Jones met while taking part in the soap opera "All My Children" in 2008.
At that time, she was working as assistant to executive producer of the soap opera. The two became good friends, but it was not until last year that the couple formalized their relationship.
Martinez, said he can not believe all the good things that have happened in the last year, including winning the trophy this mirrors and know that it will become a dad.
"2011 has been full of surprises and opportunities and, ultimately, a lot of blessings," says Martinez.
