PlayStation Vita

PlayStation Vita
Only two weeks have appeared in Japanese stores, portable game console, Sony has suffered a steep drop in sales, according to a study reported an independent Asian consultancy. This development seems to overshadow a pitch that had been considered "successful" by the executives of the company Nippon.

According to the report of the firm Media Create, which specializes in the study of Japanese video game market during the first week of release, Sony had managed to sell 325,000 units this island territory of the PS Vita for an approximate price to $ 310.

These figures, accompanied by the sight of thousands of fans queuing in stores to be among the first to buy the new PlayStation console, fed executives in the technology giant illusion that such success would continue over time and I fit right over his great rival, Nintendo.

But the analysis last week said that sales of the PS Vita literally fell into a tailspin, with only 72,500 consoles out of Japanese stores, representing a decline of almost 75 percent.

Apparently, the main cause of this debacle would be the sale price, which has been considered by many experts as very high compared to its predecessor, the PSP, ironically during the same period outsold the PS Vita.

The question of market value also becomes relevant when one considers that many gamers prefer to invest their money in tablets or smartphones which also can run great games and applications at an attractive price.
