Dash Diet

Dash Diet
The Dash Diet was first in the U.S. News and World Report's Best Diets 2012, apart from being one of the most popular diets. This diet is also in the top of healthy diets, and diets for diabetics.

This diet helps to control cholesterol because it includes various types of whole grains, fruits, vegetables and protein, plus helps prevent strokes. This according to the LA Times website.

Other diets that were at the top were Weight Watchers, the Ornish Diet, Diet Mediterrania, The Mayo Clinic Diet, and the famous Jenny Craig diet.

The panel of experts to evaluate these diets had 22 people, among whom were Brian Wansink Cornell University's Food and Brand Lab, Dr. JoAnn Manson of Harvard Medical School and Dr. David Katz of Yale-Griffin Prevention Research Center.
