December 21 2012

December 21 2012
On 21 December 2012 the Mayan calendar. For many people, an infallible sign: The world will end on that day. But the fear of the apocalypse is to win. Authors are pleased, as well as Mexico's tourism industry.

The past year was serious stuff. Tsunami and earthquake could shake Japan, revolutions in the Arab world and the crisis of the euro across the EU into a catastrophe. For apocalyptic thing is certain: They are harbingers of the impending apocalypse.

For several years the business is running with the apocalypse, at least since Roland Emmerich's disaster film 2012, which was released in 2009. The doomsday argument is based on the belief that one's true around 1300 years old inscription on a stone in Mexico. The Mayan calendar is based on cycles. And the current major cycle comprises 5125 years. It all begins over 3000 years before Christ's birth. And therefore, everything ends on 21 December 2012.

Stuttgart 21 as a harbinger for the end of the Mayan calendar

So we should prepare well, to what-ever-even expected us then, say the seer. Sure, the Internet, you can vote on whether the world will perish, says NASA, why the world will not go and find all sorts of tips for surviving the course.

However, even in tough real life, there all sorts of esoteric advice literature to the fall, which can be purchased for no less hard currency: In addition to the interpretation of the Mayan inscriptions are behavioral counselors in the offer and predictions, as the awakening of the so-called "New Humanity" in 2013 Sun will expire. And, perhaps the world is also not in the sense of Roland Emmerich below. Perhaps, say the mystics, we expected a leap in consciousness for the people, any sort of development.

In Germany, the self-proclaimed "bio-physicist" Dieter Broers is the most prominent supporters in 2012. Since he in 2008, the TV magazine Hörzu gave an interview, he fills with his lectures and seminars on the Apocalypse large halls and his purse. Whether 21 or the Stuttgart Tahirplatz in Cairo: citizens' movements around the world are fighting for more rights. This, Broers, was an indicator of the impending change, the shift in consciousness of mankind, the imminent end of the Mayan calendar.

Protective amulets and Countdown

Those who prefer something less expensive, can be one of the many magazines from 2012-the next station bookstore access. But really sure of the angst-ridden apocalyptic is only one accessory: the Mayan amulet of Astro TV for 99.95 €. "With this exclusive protection amulet magical power of light you get inspired by the prophecies of the Mayans," it says in the description. And again: "Find the light that flows out from the source of our galaxy, and you get access to the power of transformation: in a new era of light from 2012!"

Also the homeland of the Maya is looking forward to the windfall through the apocalypse: Mexico's President Felipe Calderon announced that 500 events with Maya reference during the coming year in the south of the country, including workshops, dance and music festivals. In addition, creates new hotels and a Mayan Museum. Recently commenced operations in southern Mexico Tapachula is a huge clock that counts the hours until the supposed doomsday. It is not long - fasten your seat belt and prepare yourself. However, if you should not believe in the fall, you can approach the year relaxed.
