End Of The World 2012

End Of The World 2012
Protected by a supposed Mayan prophecy, the world will end on December 22, 2012. And those who preach? Astrologers, fortune-tellers and supposedly dedicated to the scientific men participating in the media announcing the end of the world and therefore of life. If the December 22, 2012, nothing happens, then we should worry about the new predictions and some cause fear among many. Perhaps because the important thing is to keep busy and quiet to every poor and dispossessed of the land. And that quality, always vulnerable to shocks from destruction.

The prophecies about the end of the world are not new. In one of the corridors of the Great Pyramid of Cheops in Egypt, is shown a timeline that runs the August 20, 1953, when he apparently came up with the new Age of Aquarius and Pisces concluded, as the cease-fire between the two Koreas, giving rise to the so-called Cold War. As a hieroglyph situated in one of the chambers of the great pyramid, the final day would arrive on September 17, 2001. Nothing happened. Then the prophets were devoted to signal the beginning of 2000 as fatal, as would many problems. For others, the great book of prophecy foretold in the book of Revelation attributed to St. John. Others are based on the visions and prophecies of Nostradamus.

They said that in 1950 would blow up the big atomic bomb. Also predicted that something bad would happen in 1962 due to the conjunction of eight planets of the solar system. In 1982 he told a child was born at the hospital of gynecology at the IMSS in Monterrey. When a nurse bathed him said he was very ugly, little baby allegedly spoke to him and was sentenced to be uglier day 24, I do not remember what month was concerned, but nothing happened in the 24 of the 12 months of 1982 . Some argue that today's date in the Mayan calendar notes because there was more space to account for or predict other dates.

The truth is that the end of the world leads us to rethink rather different meanings and do not take too literally. In one episode of the Simpsons, Flanders was a refuge where they would protect from the effects of a collision of a meteorite. Flanders when he saw that no one could leave it decided to wait for the misfortune, while singing the song of Doris Dey "May be." In fact, I met a solar Icamole, Villa Garcia, Nuevo Leon, where the owner ordered the building of a house they could live without fear. Unfortunately the owner did not see his work as he died shortly afterwards. Some will sent to a kind of ark to save in case of a great flood.

Now, considering that the Maya were a great civilization, much given to astronomy and in fact, able to decipher the fatal day. What if nothing happens within a year? Well then, lamenting the end of the Mayan civilization and say that so mysteriously disappeared, as they were not good enough to predict its end.

The word prophet comes from the Latin prophet, in turn derived from Greek words whose meaning has prophetes with that predicted spoken before or something. The equivalent Hebrew meaning nabi said. Originally the prophets were carriers of the divine will and in most cases, to show their quality, should predict the future. In the history of Israel, the prophets fulfilled a social vocation. The prophets were individuals who spoke and acted on behalf of God. Its function was to maintain a right relationship with God and strengthen that relationship with their words and actions. In the Old Testament prophets see the service of the temple, others as advisers and confidants of the king and others challenged the religious and civil power with the intention of them back on the path of salvation. For Jews and Christians, the prophet is the bearer of a message from God to men and can therefore reveal or forecast the future. For Muslims, the role of prophet is sacred because the epithet prophet is always accompanied by the name of Mohammed

In the history of civilizations, we see the existence of people who had a similar vocation to that of prophet, either as seers and diviners, oracles playing through dreams, visions and trances. In the Egyptian story of Wen-Amon IX century BC, tells the story of a young man who in a sacrificial ceremony, conveyed the message of a deity who had possessed. In Greece, the prophets were the interpreters of the mediums and make sense of their cries and groans, among whom were a message expressed in language both ambiguous and enigmatic.

For experts in the field, the 2012 is the year of global economic catastrophe and we will see reflected in death, hunger, disease, unemployment, wars and military occupations, global warming and its effects on natural phenomena. On the other side of the coin, we may see large groups that control the global economy will become more rich and Mexico, as is an election year, work and public assistance will be irrelevant compared to the waste budget and divided among the parties media channels. Because in 2012, we will have new mayors with their respective councils, senators and congressmen and even the new president of the republic.

For the Catholic Church (CEC 2771 and 2772) eschatology is the end of time and therefore in the Eucharist we pray for an end to come, which also related to the time of salvation that began with the coming of the Holy Spirit end with the second coming of Christ. Hence arises a hope, a time of patience and wait and live as children of God (1 Jn 3.2).

Indeed, God can reveal the future to his prophets and his saints. So we as Christians should wait and give our trust to Providence for the future that have not come and leave all curious about the predictions and prophecies about the end of the world. Classes fond memories of Father Juan Jose Hinojosa, telling us that the end of the world would be when everyone knows the gospel. If we consider that only a quarter of the world's population profess the Christian religion, then it is a long way the world ends. It is also said that the world is running out for people dying. I do not believe, as we have confidence in the resurrection of the dead and the afterlife. I wish you all an excellent and happy new year. May all your dreams come true! And you all live the present with joy and happiness.
