A word of advice for future contestants on American Idol: vote for a libertarian.

One day after the singer announced via Twitter Kelly Clarkson support for Ron Paul, Republican presidential candidate U.S. contend in the primaries, sales of her latest album soared on Friday on Amazon.com.

Sales of Clarkson's latest production, an album called "Stronger," increased 442% between Thursday and Friday afternoon at the Amazon site, the album spent 38 Site 7 on the list of best sellers.

Although it is impossible to determine if their open support for Ron Paul was the only reason for this escalation, its support for the Republican politician clearly made the difference even some of his fans.

"I must admit that I was before, but your support for Ron Paul recently made me listen. If you are smart enough to support Ron Paul, then you are probably talented," wrote one fan on Friday in a review of the album on Amazon .

Another wrote: "I just discover you ... because what you said about Ron Paul! The energy of these songs would be great for the music of the Ron Paul rally."

On Thursday, Clarkson wrote on Twitter that if the Libertarian candidate "wins the GOP nomination in 2012, has my vote."

"I love Ron Paul. I really liked the last Republican nomination and no one gave him a chance," he wrote in a tweet on the same subject.

Although identified herself as a Republican, the singer, who once emerged as winner of American Idol-admitted to vote "for Democrats in the last election." On this occasion, "of all Republican candidates, he is my favorite," he said of Paul.

The candidate's campaign committee on Thursday thanked Republican "kind words" Clarkson.

The rise in album sales news Clarkson was originally collected by the Hollywood Reporter. By Friday afternoon, his album was ranked at 39 of the Billboard charts and was number 13 in the ranking of iTunes.
