Rick Perry

Rick Perry
Rick Perry is reassessing its aspirations to be the Republican candidate for the White House.

The governor of Texas said Tuesday night that will return to your state to determine if there is a way forward for his candidacy.

Perry was a disappointing place behind other Republican candidates.

Earlier Tuesday, Perry had called on his supporters to keep faith while his aides were preparing for the race in South Carolina, which they saw as the first real test of Perry's presidential campaign.

Minimizing Perry stated previously disappointing performance that would compete in South Carolina regardless of outcome here and bought television time to support it.

Before Iowans attend schools and churches to identify their preferences, Perry was belittling the role of the traditional starting states.

"The idea that one or two states will decide who the next nominee of the Republican Party is, you know, that's not true," Perry told the CNN before the caucuses began.

Perry's team planned events in South Carolina on Wednesday.
