In the presence of a group of playmates and close friends, the Miami Heat star struck on Saturday night at his girlfriend to kneel on one knee and ask her to marry.
And yes, she said yes.
"It was a beautiful moment," said the Heat teammate Chris Bosh. "I wished him good luck. It was very nice. Really very nice," he said.
James A representative confirmed the news to The Associated Press on Sunday morning, hours after his close friend Chris Paul and Heat owner, Micky Arison, were among those who welcomed them into messages for Tweeter.
James asked the question at a party to celebrate the New Year and his 27th birthday which was Friday. Dwyane Wade mate who was in charge of giving engagement ring to the big moment arrived and a group of 50 guests celebrated with the happy couple.
"It was a special night," said Heat coach Erik Spoelstra.
James and Brinson have two children.
"I had no idea this would happen," said Bosh. "Suddenly I heard there was a commotion, and yes it was. It was really nice. It was lovely," he said.
No date has been announced for the wedding.
